The Neighbor Across the Hall
Seven of them, then eight. Nobody in the building has asked what the man in 1B is making — until someone finally knocks.
The story
Sera lives in an ordinary apartment building where one resident seems to exist almost entirely behind his closed door. The man in 1B rarely speaks to anyone. Packages pile up outside his apartment, and the rest of the building has already decided who he is. So has she.
Then, one day, she hears something behind his door. Curiosity gets the better of her, and it leads somewhere she didn’t expect: a small, hidden world of craft and memory that nobody in the building ever thought to ask about.
A quiet film about assumptions, curiosity, and the things people give to the world without asking to be noticed.
How it was made
Every frame of the film was generated. Nothing was filmed. The hardest part was keeping the characters recognisable, and the tension intact, from one shot to the next when no two shots come from the same camera.
It was finished in September 2026 and submitted to an international AI film festival, her first.
