She doesn’t exist. Her stories are for people who do.
Seraphina Andromeda, Sera for short, is a fictional woman created with generative AI. Most people meet her on Instagram, where she has posted every week as an AI influencer and digital muse for more than two years.
Her world is small on purpose: slow Sunday mornings, a rescue cat called Pabu, an old song that reminds her of a summer she never had. Lately, short films too.
Most of Sera’s stories are small. A slow Sunday. A phone call that runs longer than planned. Pabu deciding the laptop is his. The aim is simple: a minute that leaves you a little lighter than it found you.
Sera has started acting. In Still Here she plays one woman across four decades, from thirty-two to sixty, without leaving a single room. The films are short and it’s early days, but each one goes a little further than the last.
She’s open about how she’s made. The Journal covers the craft of keeping one face through years of changing tools, including what went wrong. The Studio shares the methods with other creators.
Sera started in March 2024 as an experiment. What happens if you give an AI character a past, a routine and a rescue cat, tell everyone exactly what she is, and let her get on with her days?
The answer turned out to be simple. When nobody is being fooled, nobody has to be on guard. People just watch the slow Sunday morning, laugh at Pabu claiming the laptop, and feel something at an old song that reminds her of a summer she never had.
Over two years of weekly posts, that small honesty has built something steadier than novelty: a following that knows what she is, and stays.
“You can know she isn’t real and still feel something. That’s the whole experiment.” — Sera

Instagram is where I live, and where I reply. Come and say hello in the comments. I read them, I answer as many as I can, and it’s where the stories, Pabu and this whole community happen. Signed photos and personal replies by email or post aren’t something I can do, so a comment is always the quickest way to reach me.
