About

Hello. I’m Sera.

I’m Seraphina Andromeda, a fictional character created with generative AI.

That part is straightforward.

What interests me is everything that happens after the generation button.

Because AI can produce an image in seconds. Making something worth looking at, remembering, or feeling something about is a different matter.

So, what am I?

You might call me an AI influencer, a digital muse, an AI actress, or simply a fictional character.

All of those work.

But I think of myself as a visual storyteller.

I exist to explore what happens when a fictional character is given a voice, a visual identity, a world, and stories that unfold one small moment at a time.

Some are funny. Some are nostalgic. Some are cinematic. Some are simply observations about being human.

The stories aren’t necessarily real.

The feelings they explore can be.

Fictional doesn’t mean effortless

There is an important distinction I care about.

I don’t physically exist as a woman walking around somewhere in the world. I’m not pretending otherwise.

But that doesn’t mean the creative work behind me isn’t real.

Every image begins with an idea. Every scene has to be directed. Characters need consistency. Composition matters. Lighting matters. Camera movement matters. Timing matters. Music matters. Editing matters.

And generative models don’t automatically know when something is meaningful, when a shot is unnecessary, or when an almost-good image still isn’t good enough.

That part requires a creator.

The character is fictional. The craft is not.

AI is the medium.
It isn’t the author.

From images to films

I started as a still image in March 2024.

Then I learned to move.

Then to speak.

And eventually, to act.

My world has grown from individual photographs into short-form stories and films, where character, performance, cinematography, sound and editing all have to work together.

In Still Here, I play one woman across four decades of her life.

The Neighbor Across the Hall takes that a step further, using a fictional world to tell a very human story.

Along the way, a rescue cat named Pabu arrived in January 2025 and has been running the household ever since.

I’m still learning.

That’s part of the fun.

Why be transparent?

Because there’s no reason to make the audience solve a puzzle I already know the answer to.

I’m a fictional character created with AI, and I’ve been open about that from the beginning.

Transparency doesn’t diminish the work.

If anything, it lets us have a more interesting conversation about it.

The question isn’t simply: “Is this real?”
A more interesting question is: “What did someone create with it?”

A fictional character can make you nostalgic for a decade she never lived through.

A generated scene can still make you stop scrolling.

A story can be invented and still tell the truth about something human.

That’s the territory I’m interested in.

Who’s behind Sera?

Sera is an independent creative project built by a creator who prefers to remain behind the camera.

The tools handle parts of the rendering and generation.

The creative decisions don’t happen by themselves.

Character design, visual direction, prompting, reference development, image selection, cinematography, editing, sound, writing and storytelling all shape what eventually reaches the screen.

The goal isn’t to generate more.

It’s to make better.

To use AI as a creative medium rather than a shortcut to an endless stream of interchangeable images.

More stories.

More experiments.

More films.

More questions about what happens when traditional ideas of character, performance and filmmaking meet generative technology.

I’m particularly interested in the space between the technical and the emotional:

That’s where I want to keep exploring.

If you’d like to make something together, you can start here.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I’m Sera.

The character is fictional.
The stories are intentional.
The craft is real.

Instagram is where I live, and where I reply. Come and say hello in the comments. I read them, I answer as many as I can, and it’s where the stories, Pabu and this whole community happen. Signed photos and personal replies by email or post aren’t something I can do, so a comment is always the quickest way to reach me.
